I love discovering recipes online, testing them in my kitchen, and perfecting them for my readers. Every dish is carefully tried and tweaked to ensure it’s both delicious and reliable before I share it with you!

Behind the blog

How it all started

My love for food started with my grandmother. She taught cooking to large groups for over 20 years. She introduced us to Dutch-Indies cuisine because that is the place where she grew up.

Her cooking inspired me to start experimenting in the kitchen. This led to my career in food marketing at an agency. But my true passion is cooking and sharing recipes I found online every day.

Here, you’ll find dishes with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Each recipe is tested. My family, Liam included, gives me honest feedback about my cooking skills ;-). I hope these recipes make your meals as enjoyable as they do mine!

FAQ

A few years ago, I created a cookbook with my cousin featuring my grandmother’s recipes. It’s called Indisch Koken voor Beginners and is written in Dutch. Although the book is no longer available for purchase, Dutch readers can still find the recipes on Instagram at Indisch Koken.

Although some photos were taken with a professional camera by various photographers (I don’t make all recipes myself), I personally use the Nikon Z camera.

This website was created in 2024, but I have been blogging for my work for 10 years. So, sharing recipes is something I’ve been doing for years.

Although I’ve worked as a marketeer for years and frequently built websites, I’m not currently sharing how to create your own blog. Maybe that’s something for the future!

I’m always open to collaborations! Feel free to email me at [email protected].
