Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Cap'n Crunch Cereal
  • 6 slices of Texas Toast Bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Place the cereal in a Ziploc bag and use a rolling pin to crush it into coarse crumbs.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon until fully combined.
  • Place two bowls on the counter: one with the egg mixture and the other with the crushed cereal.
  • Dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure it's fully soaked, then coat it with the crushed cereal. Continue this process until all slices are ready.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pan over medium heat. Cook the French toast slices for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • Serve the French toast with syrup, ice cream, or fresh berries for a delicious finish.

Notes

Cook over medium heat to ensure the cereal coating doesn’t burn before the inside is fully cooked.
