In a small saucepan, warm the milk over medium heat until it starts to steam, being careful not to let it come to a boil.

Stir the white chocolate chips into the saucepan and continue mixing until they are fully melted and blended into the milk.

Mix in the sugar and stir until it is fully dissolved.

Add 2-3 drops of red food coloring to the saucepan and stir until the color is evenly mixed. For a richer red shade, feel free to add more drops.

Heat the mixture for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is hot and fully combined.

Take the saucepan off the heat and pour the red velvet hot chocolate into mugs.

Add a generous scoop of whipped cream on top of each mug.
